In many subjects, pupils will have embarked on Higher level work well before the end of S4, to provide continuity and a firm grounding for S5 courses. Highers remain the benchmark for entry to Scottish Universities; at Gordon's we offer an unrivalled variety of choices and combinations with 23 subjects on offer at this level. We place a high premium on ensuring that we satisfy as many choices as possible and will liaise with parents if any issues arise during this process.

Prelim Examinations are held in February for S5. The SQA External Examinations largely occur in May, with a small number being scheduled at the start of June. Otherwise, departments regularly employ a range of assessment approaches to ensure that effective learning is occurring.
