Nursery

Our new purpose-built nursery opened in August 2019 for children aged 3-5 years old. Located at our Schoolhill campus in the heart of Aberdeen, our nursery provides children with a nurturing and stimulating environment offering the very best start in a child's educational journey.

Learning is fun for children who attend Robert Gordon's College Nursery. From the very start, they are welcomed into an exciting and caring learning environment led by our fully qualified Teacher and Early Years Practitioners. Our nursery children feel secure and confident enabling them to flourish in the stimulating indoor and outdoor learning environment. Furthermore, nursery children benefit from the wide range of specialist teachers who visit the nursery each week helping children to discover and explore new subjects and topics, finding their passion from a young age.

At Robert Gordon's College, we work in partnership with our parents to develop the learning experience of each child with the ultimate aim of making them eager and enthusiastic learners. Our nursery is an integral part of our Junior School and offers excellent preparation for children transitioning to Primary 1. In January, all Pre-School Nursery children are invited to complete the assessment for Primary 1 at Robert Gordon’s College, as entry to the Junior School is not automatic.

Many friendships are formed at an early age between the children and families which continues throughout the children’s years at the College.

The Nursery is registered with the Care Inspectorate and are funded providers with Aberdeen City Council.
