Two teams consisting of S1 and S2 pupils entered the North-East of Scotland Kids' Lit Quiz with the B team progressing to the national final in London.

S1 pupils Jamie, Mahdeen, Ellis and Henry (pictured) earned first place and are now preparing for the next stage on 5 December.

Miss England said: "This is an incredible achievement and is the first time a team from Robert Gordon's College has won the Harlaw heats. The pupils put a lot of effort into reading, quizzing and research. Their hard work and excellent teamwork has paid off."

The teams worked with Mr Clement, Head of Senior School Library and Miss England, teacher of English in preparation for the North-East of Scotland Kids' Lit Quiz.

Anish and Ella (S2) were joined by Isabel and Jasmine (both S1) to make up the A team. They had an excellent time and were a superb team with expert knowledge of the classics.
