Most of us will remember 'Fame' to be a hit motion picture or television series. However Fame JR. is this year's Primary 7 show and features a high-energy, contemporary pop score and deals with many important subject matters when heading to teenage years.
Set during the last years of New York City's celebrated High School for the Performing Arts in the early 1980s, Fame JR. story of a diverse group of students who commit to four years of artistic and academic work. With music, acting and dance being their chosen 'majors', the show explores the issues that confront many young people today. Loaded with plenty singing and dance numbers to 'get your feet tapping', audiences were tempted to join the cast in the song 'Fame - clapping and cheering and of course singing along!!!

'Hard work!' is the main theme of our show and it has been a huge team effort from staff and pupils to make this show a success. 'Fame' tells the story of a group of teenagers and their journey at the New York High School of the Performing Arts. Actors, Dancers, Musicians and Teachers make up our cast and the children have worked hard to create believable characters so much older than themselves. The music from 'Fame' is very difficult and again, our pupils have risen to the challenge. 'Bring on tomorrow, let it shine' is my favourite quote from the show and I know this year group have so much still to give in Junior School and as they transition to senior school - Well done P7!! The P7 show has became a rite of passage for our P7 pupils and I am already looking forward to next year which will be our tenth production!
