Phenomenal fundraising year by Charities Committee

The Pupil Charities Committee (led by S6 Pupils Rhia and Iona) have been working extremely hard this year organising a number of different events to raise money for their chosen local charities, North East Eating Disorders Support (NEEDS) and Social Bite.
Throughout this year, the committee of around 15 pupils have been working together with staff, family and local businesses to raise money for two charities, which were chosen by vote at the start of the school year. Events have included a spring fête including a superb raffle, bake sale, non-uniform day and collections at various concerts/shows.
The total amount raised this academic year is a phenomenal £5028.03 which will be split in half and donated to each charity. In addition to this, the committee ran a whole-school collection for a local food bank - which managed to accumulate enough items to make 2250 meals. The committee would like to thank everyone for their support in all their projects - it is very much appreciated.
