Fifth and Sixth Year Scholarships 2017-2018: Academic, Music, Sport
The Burnett Scholarships offer up to half fee discounts to pupils of outstanding talent in academic subjects, in music, or in sport. Burnett Scholarships are available to pupils currently in Fourth or Fifth Year at other schools.
Fifth Year at Gordon's offers a range of 25 different Highers, available in any combination, fully staffed and timetabled. Academic expectations are high with over 50 pupils gaining 5 A grades every year. Pupils benefit from excellent teaching and resources and the stimulus of able fellow pupils.
Sixth Year at Robert Gordon’s College offers unrivalled academic choice, with 32 Highers including Philosophy and Photography, 26 Advanced Highers and enrichment courses such as Ceramics, Japanese, Mandarin, Russian and Foundations of Private Law.
Music tuition of the highest standard is available in most instruments and there are frequent public performances by orchestras, concert bands, ensembles and soloists.
Our teams in Athletics, Cricket, boys' and girls' Hockey, Netball, Rugby and Swimming - among other - compete with the best in Scotland and many of our groups gain national honours.
Among a vast range of extra-curricular and community activities, there are opportunities in drama, Duke of Edinburgh Award, enterprise, ICT, outdoor education, assisting younger people and voluntary work.

Candidates meeting the criteria will be expected to attend an interview at the College; there is no exam involved.
The value of the bursaries will be variable depending on individual circumstances (maximum half fees).
