The Gordon's Experience

Educating the whole person goes hand in hand with the highest level of academic achievement at Gordon's. Our core values underpin all that we do and are the qualities we aim to instil in all of our children and pupils.

The College follows the Scottish curriculum and from the earliest age children are used to active interdisciplinary learning in the class, building confidence through participation. We place a high value on developing independent learning skills with all pupils, preparing them for life beyond Gordon’s.

Small class sizes, teachers who communicate with passion and expertise, specialist teaching from an early age, attention to the needs of individual pupils: excellence in the classroom is built upon these foundations. Academic strength sits side-by-side with the School’s unrivalled choice of co-curricular and sporting opportunity with over 120 Clubs and Societies available.

Robert Gordon's is a supportive community with parent, teacher and pupil relationships at our core.

"Chemists who can act, engineers with Classics qualifications, netball captains who are doctors, artists who can debate - these will be the leaders of the future because their academic ability and understanding is matched by the development of their personal and social skills."

The tradition of academic success is underlined by Her Majesty’s Inspectorate of Education commenting that “Learning and teaching is of high quality and there are examples of outstanding practice. Children and young people enjoy learning and respond very well to the caring ethos.”
