College Archives
The Archive was created during the 250th anniversary year of 2000. In a purpose-built room below the College Library, it houses written records, photographs and memorabilia covering the history of Robert Gordon, the days of the Hospital (1750-1881), the College (1881 to date), the buildings and the pupils.
The photograph collection now contains over 2000 pictures of form classes, sports teams and College events. The collection continues to grow thanks to donations. We do our best to answer requests for images or to trace a particular pupil, but this is not always possible as many of the photos are missing accompanying names.
Tom Cumming, Archivist
In the Archive we have an extensive collection of anything to do with the history of Robert Gordon's College, such as artefacts, documents and photographs. We aim to answer every type of query from members of the Gordonian community, within the College and beyond.
Do you have any school photographs that you would be willing to donate or loan? Please contact us (select Archives) to see whether your photo could fill a gap in our collection. We are also very grateful for programmes, leaflets, badges, exam papers etc.
