Community
Robert Gordon’s College is a remarkable school which has all the benefits of a large, vibrant school and a strong family identity. It is steeped in history and tradition and is determined to be cutting edge in its approach to learning and its adoption of digital technology.
Based in the heart of Aberdeen, the College is strongly committed to and engaged with the local community and benefits from the international links as the sole European representative in the network of seven schools that form the Global Alliance for Innovative Learning (GAIL). Pupils and staff are part of a global, digitally literate community who benefit from international opportunities with partners around the world offering knowledge sharing and exchanges.
Renowned for its academic, competitive and high achievements the school is also known for being caring, respectful and well balanced. While it sets out to achieve significant success and to make a real difference, it aims to do so with good humour, encouragement and a strong awareness and appreciation of what is best for each individual.
The Parents' Association and Parent Liaison Groups are active voices to life at the school, and pupils have strong input via the Junior and Senior Student Representative Committees and clubs on campus.
“I have really enjoyed being part of the school community. I like going to school events, social or academic, and taking part in Gordon’s traditions. I love the atmosphere of being part of something.”
Eleanor, S6 pupil
