Overview
The Gordonian Association, in partnership with Robert Gordon’s College, is very pleased to announce a special trip to the First World War Battlefields.
This three-day, two-night visit will explore key locations across the Ypres Salient and the Somme, focusing on the extraordinary contribution made by Gordonians during the Great War. Along the way, the group will visit major memorials on the Western Front and pay tribute to those who served and fell in the line of duty.
The trip will be led by Mr Robin Macpherson, Head of College, and Mr Robin Fish, Deputy Head.
Cost and Travel Options
The cost is inclusive of all travel, accommodation, food (full board), excursions, and travel insurance.
Evening meals include three courses with a glass of wine or soft drink. Guests will only need to cover any additional drinks with meals or personal purchases.
You can join the group from one of three convenient departure points:

Includes return coach transfer from Countesswells to Edinburgh Airport – £999 per person
(Cars may be left at Countesswells for the duration of the trip at the owner’s risk.)
