Code of Conduct for Events
Following the guidance of the Institute of Event Management (IEM) and the Chartered Institute for Fundraising (CIF), Robert Gordon’s College is committed to championing and protecting the quality and integrity of our events to provide a welcoming and high standard of service to the Gordon’s community.
We would ask all participants at events to uphold and maintain these standards which are set out below.

Establish, maintain and develop professional relationships based on confidence, trust and respect.

Exhibit professional and personal integrity and honesty at all times.

Demonstrate and promote sensitivity for the customs, practices, culture and personal beliefs of others.

Champion practice that promotes equality, diversity and inclusion and supports human rights and dignity.

Safeguard all confidential, commercially sensitive and personal data acquired as a result of relationship building and do not use it for personal advantage or the benefit or detriment of third parties.
Consequences of unacceptable behaviour
Unacceptable behaviour will not be tolerated and actions will be taken if required. Anyone who does not adhere to this code of conduct will be asked to cease any inappropriate behaviour and will be expected to comply immediately. If a participant engages in unacceptable behaviour, the event organisers may take action they deem appropriate, up to and including expulsion from the event without refund.
