A smaller selection of uniform items are also available from John Lewis where you can try on sample sizes in store and place an order via their website.

The Robert Gordon’s College Parents’ Association second-hand uniform sale takes place every year in June. Second-hand items may also be purchased on Friday lunchtimes from the Dining Hall.

Junior School

Senior School

Robert Gordon's College is centrally located in the heart of Aberdeen city and is a short walk from Aberdeen Bus and Train Station with public car parks located nearby.

Many families use the school coaches or public bus services and rail networks. In addition to this we work closely with neighbouring public car parking facilities to further facilitate a safe journey to and from the College.

School Bus

The school runs three 'yellow buses' in the mornings, from Peterculter, Westhill and Ellon, for Junior and Senior pupils, arriving at approximately 8.15 am. Each bus is supervised by an adult in addition to the driver.

Two school buses run at the end of the day and are available for Junior School pupils only. End of day buses travel to Mannofield and Peterculter with various stops along the way.

Please note that Nursery children must be signed in and out of the Nursery on a daily basis and are therefore not able to use the School buses. P1-P4 children must be met at the bus stop by a parent, guardian or named representative, or walk with an older sibling (P5-P7) if consent is given. P5-7 pupils do not need to be met at the bus stop and may walk home on their own.

Places on the school morning and afternoon buses can be reserved on a termly basis and are billed monthly in arrears.

Senior pupils are transported to Countesswells at 1.45pm on their games day and make their own way home. In addition buses are provided for teams travelling to Countesswells after school for training.

Public Bus

Aberdeen Bus Station is situated within a 10 minute walk. Public buses travel through the City Centre with stops within a few minutes walking distance to the school. For more information and bus times visit First Group or Stagecoach.

Aberdeen Rail Station has frequent services from various areas through North East Scotland and the rest of the UK. For more information and train times visit ScotRail, LNER or National Rail.

Public car parking is located within a short walking distance.

The College has agreed with Bon Accord Centre management preferential parking rates for parents within the Loch Street and Harriet Street Car Parks. Parents are able to purchase a top-up card at a cost of £10 from the Information Desk on the Upper Mall of the Bon Accord Centre. Preferential parking tariffs are as follows:

Duration Cost Discount

30 minutes £0.50 £2.00

2 hours £2.50 £1.00

Meals are cooked on-site by our caterers, Inspire Catering, and served in Blackfriars Dining Hall. A cashless system operates where cards are provided for every pupil and parents/guardians top up accounts and view transaction history via an online portal. Children may bring packed lunches to school and pupils can sit with their friends to eat these in the Dining Hall.

We are proud to cater to our international community and are able to offer vegetarian and Halal options as well as support specific dietary requirements/allergies.

Following the launch of this catering service in August 2015, Inspire Catering has continued to achieve the HealthyLiving Award. The Award follows a rigorous audit process reviewing the menus and food production methods and means that your child will always be able to make healthy food choices at school.  Our food offer also meets the Scottish Government’s Better Eating, Better Learning initiative and the School Nutritional Guidelines.

We are fully committed to helping pupils make healthier eating choices by making fruit and vegetables clearly available and keeping the amount of fat, salt and sugar we use to a minimum

The Dining Hall is open for Morning Cafe from 7.50 am - 8.20 am, during Senior School Break, and Nursery, Junior School and Senior School lunches.
