Nursery

August 2019 will see the opening of a new purpose-built Nursery for children from ages 3-5 years old, located at our Schoolhill site in the heart of Aberdeen. Our new nursery facility will provide children with a nurturing and stimulating environment giving them the best possible start.

Learning is fun in our nursery where children can play and feel happy and safe. Children from three years old are welcomed into our caring, learning environment which is led by our fully qualified Teacher and Early Years Practitioners. This is the first step on the journey of formal education, which we hope will inspire a love and joy for life long learning in all our children.

Children are secure and confident which allows them to flourish in a stimulating environment. We aim to work in partnership with our parents to develop a wide range of children’s learning experiences, making them eager and enthusiastic learners.

The Nursery is very much part of our Junior School and offers excellent preparation for children transitioning to Primary 1. In January, all Pre-School Nursery children are invited to complete the assessment for Primary 1 at Robert Gordon’s College, as entry to the Junior School is not automatic.

Many friendships are formed between the children and families which continue throughout the children’s years at the College. Watch Freya and Allan (below) as they take you on a tour of our nursery and see for yourself what a fun place it is to be.

The Nursery is registered with the Care Inspectorate and are funded providers with Aberdeen City Council.

“I really could not be happier with our choice of Nursery. I feel we have given our children the best possible start here. I am particularly happy with the staff who clearly genuinely care about the children.”
