RGC Online Higher Courses
RGC Online offers live-taught SQA accredited Higher Computing Science and Higher Applications of Mathematics, taught by teachers from Robert Gordon’s College.
HIGHER COMPUTING SCIENCE
The Higher Computing course studies Computer Systems, examining how a computer system operates. Software Development will be taught using Python, and students will learn how to interrogate Databases, and use HTML forms and JavaScript to further develop CSS knowledge gained at National 5.
HIGHER APPLICATIONS OF MATHEMATICS
The Higher Applications of Mathematics course focuses on developing the mathematical and analytical skills required in society and for the future workforce. The course develops candidates’ quantitative and mathematical literacy, problem-solving skills and reasoning skills as they apply mathematics in real-life contexts.
RGC Online Diploma Modules
A new series of online modules are available to RGC Online students to advance their knowledge of technology. Modules can be completed as stand-alone qualifications, or combined to be awarded a diploma.
ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE
Learn about the ethics of artificial intelligence and how to to design, use, and think about AI.
DATA SCIENCE
Explore the world of data and the tools and techniques used to analyse and solve problems.
GAME DESIGN
Learn the fundamentals of game design mechanics, dynamics, aesthetics and technology.
CYBER SECURITY
Learn the importance of cyber security both as individuals and a profession by exploring common cyber security risks, including web application security risks and malware.
ENTREPRENEURSHIP
Developing your entrepreneurial spirit in order to be a motivated change maker who has the tools to approach any problem with confidence.
