National 5 Latin

Course Start Date: August 2025

The National 5 Latin course provides pupils with the opportunity to develop translation skills and a deep understanding of Latin language and literature. Key aims of the course include:

  • Developing translation skills and the ability to analyse and evaluate Latin texts.
  • Enhancing understanding of literary techniques and Roman culture.
  • Cultivating critical and creative thinking skills by synthesising ideas and arguments.
