Rising star Angela McAuslan-Kelly shines on the International Athletics stage

Robert Gordon’s College is immensely proud of former pupil, Angela McAuslan-Kelly from the Class of 2023 who has been selected to represent Great Britain at the 2024 World Athletics U20 Championships in Lima, Peru. Angela, now a rising sophomore at Princeton University, will be showcasing her exceptional talent in the hammer throw event, marking a significant milestone in her athletic career.

During her time at Robert Gordon’s College, Angela demonstrated remarkable dedication and skill in athletics, setting the foundation for her future successes. Her achievements have continued to grow since moving to Princeton, where she recently reached the third position in the university's outdoor record book for the hammer throw with a remarkable mark of 60.99m (200-1). Additionally, Angela qualified for the NCAA East Regionals, further underscoring her impressive progress and potential.

Head Coach, Michelle Eisenreich of Princeton has expressed her pride, stating on Princeton’s sports website, "There is no greater honour in sport than to represent your country in international competition. We are extremely proud of Angela and excited to watch her compete against the world's best."

Angela’s selection to the GB squad is a testament to her hard work, determination, and the strong athletic foundation she built here whilst at Robert Gordon’s College.
