It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

Pupils from across the College have wholeheartedly embraced everything festive this week by engaging in a variety of events across the local community.

Evening Express Christmas Concert

The RGC Pipe Band were delighted to once again be invited to participate in this year’s Evening Express Christmas Concert on Sunday, 3rd December.

Taking to the stage at the P&J Live afternoon concert, our talented pupils gave a stellar performance to an amazing crowd. All proceeds from the event will support the Pounds for Primaries initiative, providing essential funds for local schools across the North East of Scotland.

Excitement is now building among the Pipe Band members as they eagerly anticipate their last musical performance of the year at the RGC Christmas Concert in the Music Hall, Aberdeen!

Aberdeen City Nativity Blessing

Primary 7Ca joined other local schools at Union Terrace Gardens to sing at the Aberdeen City Council Crib Blessing Service.

Speaking about the event, Mrs Massie, Head of Creative Arts, shared: “Despite the cold all the children sang beautifully, creating a real sense of community whilst celebrating the true meaning of Christmas.”

Christmas Tree Festival

Senior School Chamber Choir members performed at The OpenSpace Trust’s Christmas Tree Festival

Held in Drum’s Aisle,Kirk of St Nicholas, the pupils welcomed members of the public by singing Christmas carols adding a festive atmosphere to the event.

This year, one of the Christmas Trees was decorated by our Junior School Green Beans Club, with the theme ‘Ding Dong Merrily On High’.

With a focus on sustainability, the children crafted bell-shaped decorations using recycled materials such as egg boxes, crisp packets, Christmas pie foil containers, and environmentally friendly glitter made from plants.
