Countesswells Cup attracts school hockey players to Aberdeen

We were thrilled to welcome hockey players from across the country to compete in this year’s Robert Gordon’s College Countesswells Cup.

The event featured teams from ESMS, George Heriot’s School, Stewart’s Melville College, High School of Dundee and Gordonstoun who travelled to Aberdeen to compete with local sides from Albyn School and Robert Gordon’s College.

From the first whistle to the final goal, the standard of hockey on display was nothing short of exceptional. Every team brought their A-game, showcasing remarkable skill, determination, and sportsmanship.

Mr McLeod, Director of Sport: “The festival & tournament format is a hugely successful model to ensure that all players have a positive sporting experience. All the matches were played with a lot of intensity which really tested the players skill level and decision making under pressure. The feedback was once again hugely positive and we’re already looking forward to next year.
