Duke of Edinburgh’s Award participants celebrated their achievements with family, friends, and staff at our annual awards night in MacRobert Hall.

To start off the evening, the audience enjoyed a performance from our Senior School Pipe Band to demonstrate their Skills section. Peter F, Gregor McR, Adi M, Adi N, Thijmen V Z, and Rudra C shared highlights from their thrilling Silver expedition, followed by Kiyah P, who talked about her heartwarming volunteering experience for the Gold Award.

Mrs McAvinue, Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Manager, shared: “Over 2023-24 Robert Gordon’s College became one of the four largest independent schools in Scotland participating in the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award. This has amazingly helped contribute to 4.7 million volunteering hours given by DofE young people across the UK which saved charities and organisations nearly £25 million! Congratulations to all participants on your commitment, resilience, and leadership throughout your Award.”
