Eventful end to Summer for Pipe Band

The CCF Pipe Band have had an active end to the summer holidays in August.

Recent high profile band engagements have seen members from the Development, Novice B and Novice A Pipe Bands as well as RGC Highland Dancers perform at Crathes Castle for the Aberdeen Mega Geocaching Gathering, where a combined audience of about 2500 people from around the world travelled to attend.

This was followed by band practices at Countesswells and a trip to the World Pipe Band Championships in Glasgow where over 250 Pipe Bands were competing on a sunny day on Glasgow Green. We look forward to our own Pipe Band competing at the Worlds in a few years time.

The first weekend back for the new school year saw pipers and drummers from all bands travel to Strathdon to take part in numerous musical performances at the Lonach Highland Gathering.
