A fantastic opportunity to develop speaking, singing, and musical skills across the College, pupils have been spreading festive cheer with community performances in MacRobert Hall and the P&J Live Arena.
Nursery children delight audience with festive cheer
Some of our youngest learners were incredibly excited to perform their version of the Nativity in the MacRobert Hall. The nursery children danced and sang their hearts out to a delighted audience of family and friends dressed in fabulous costumes.
Mrs Kinsey, Nursery Class Teacher shared: “It was certainly beginning to look a lot like Christmas in the MacRobert Hall today. It was lovely to invite all of our friends and family into College to watch our Nursery Nativity. What a fantastic performance it was - full of joy and happiness. We are proud of all our children. They worked so hard to learn their lines and songs, and they are only 3 and 4 years old!”
Primary 1 and 2 present 'Lights Camel Action 2, The Sequin'.
Our Primary 1 and 2 pupils brought some festive cheer to their family and friends with a fantastic performance in the MacRobert Hall. The pupils presented ‘Lights Camel Action 2, The Sequin’ which featured lots of fabulous costumes, dancing, singing and big smiles all round.
Mrs Constable, Junior School Teacher of Music said: “Primary 1 and 2's have been working very hard singing and dancing to the hits included in this upbeat Christmas Nativity.
“It was very exciting to see the children in their costumes for the first time at the Dress Rehearsal and they were very ready to entertain friends and family in the evening. All the songs and dances were judged by our own Caesar, Littlest Sheep and Funky Camel who have their score cards at the ready. It truly was a Christmas celebration full of pizzazz and razzamatazz!”
Pipe Band perform at the Evening Express Christmas Concert
Our Pipe Band were thrilled to be invited to participate in this year’s Evening Express Christmas Concert at the P&J Live Arena.
Performing to an audience of over 1000 people, proceeds from the concert supported the evening express Pounds for Primaries initiative.
Speaking about the event, Mr Sumner, Piping Instructor commented: “It was a privilege to be invited back to support the Evening Express Christmas Concert this year and raise money for such worthwhile causes. It was also a wonderful performing opportunity for our mini pipers and drummers to be able to show off their musical skills at the P&J Live Arena.”

RGC Christmas Concert a hit with the Gordonian Community
We were pleased to invite pupils and the wider Gordonian Community to MacRobert Hall for the RGC Christmas Concert.
Although not held in the Music Hall as originally planned due to adverse weather, Primary 4 - S6 pupils entertained their peers, family and governors with two fantastic musical performances.
Head of Music, Mr Haggart shared: "The pupils rose to the occasion magnificently, leaving both audiences full of Christmas spirit. Performers from P4 - S6 were involved and we were excited to be able to entertain pupils as well as parents and friends. Of course it was disappointing not to be able to perform in the Music Hall but everyone pulled together to bring the term to a joyful end. I would like to extend a huge thank you to all of the pupils and staff involved for their hard work in the lead-up, and their adaptability when the plans had to change at short notice. We look forward to being back in the Music Hall for the Spring Concert in March."
