Video gallery launched for the Fire up the Future webinar series

Following the success of the Fire up the Future webinar series a dedicated video gallery has been created to share all the webinar recordings.

Featuring Gordonians from all over the world, a video gallery has been launched to offer a catch-up service to  Melbourne, Australia to the West Coast of the USA, the Fire up the Future webinar series has brought together the global Gordonian community at a time when physical events hasn’t been possible.

During the six-week run of the series, we heard from 30 former pupils who all shared their journeys since leaving the gates of RGC providing unique insight, experience and guidance to support those currently studying or at an early stage in their career.

Hosted by Iain Anderson (Class of ‘86), Steve Parkinson (Class of ‘85), Allan Fraser (Class of ‘89), Bob Ruddiman (Class of ‘83), Rachel Spatz (Class of ‘03) and Amy Read (Class of ‘95), the panelists explored how the pandemic has impacted health and wellbeing, careers and how to adapt to the new world.

Each webinar welcomed an audience from across the Gordonian community where senior pupils, former pupils, staff past and present and parents tuned in to enjoy the events and participate in the live Q&A sessions.

Sarah-Jane Beaton, Development Manager at the College said: “The Gordon’s community is full of generous and talented people and we are very grateful to our hosts and panelists for participating in these webinars.

“Sharing their experiences and advice to Senior School pupils and alumni has been invaluable in helping with key decisions about their future career paths and aspirations.”

To catch up on all the webinars in the series, live recordings can be accessed on the Fire up the Future Video Gallery or listen on the go by using the new RGC Podcast channel. Additional career support and advice is also available through the Gordonian Mentoring Programme.
