The S1 Car Club members have been working very hard this year, learning new skills and putting these into practice by getting the two electric cars (Co-Bolt and Soup A) race fit.

An excited team of nine S1 engineers entered both cars into the Greenpower F24 Race at Grampian Transport Museum, Alford on 10 June 2022.

Soup A came second in the Formula 24 kit car race and also won the F24 Sustainability Award.

Co-bolt was in the scratch built car race, this being its first race there were a few teething problems and the car did not finish. The team learned a lot about the car and what it takes to keep the car racing.

Our young engineers had a fascinating time at the competition, sharing knowledge with other schools and learning in a dynamic, hands-on environment.
