It has been an incredibly busy end to the summer term for our Junior School pupils with an array of activities for the children to enjoy. 

P1-3 Shorts and Shades
P1-P3 pupils had a wonderful time at their annual Shorts and Shades Party providing a great opportunity to celebrate their hard work this term. Alongside their Primary 7 House Captains, the pupils participated in a House treasure hunt around Schoolhill, which brought plenty of excitement and laughter. Thanks to the kindness of the RGCPA, a local ice cream van visited to give everybody a well-earned ice-cold sweet treat to enjoy. 

P6-P7 House Disco
The annual P6-P7 House Disco was once again a fantastic evening filled with music and laughter. Our pupils arrived dressed to impress and brought their best moves to the dance floor, making for a fantastic atmosphere from start to finish. 

Primary 7 Ceilidh
Our Primary 7 year group enjoyed a lively ceilidh in Macrobert Hall. To mark this special occasion, the year group shared lots of laughter, and dancing, creating lasting memories with friends as they celebrated the end of their Junior School journey before starting S1 after summer. Thank you to Bethan (P6), Aled (S1) and Mrs Lynn for piping and ceilidh guidance to the pupils.

Junior School Celebration
Pupils, staff, families and friends of Robert Gordon's College gathered at Aberdeen Music Hall for the annual Junior School Celebration and Prizegiving, marking the culmination of another successful academic year. 

The afternoon began with a warm welcome from Chairman of the Board of Governors, Kevin Reynard who reflected on another exceptional year at Robert Gordon's College and thanked pupils, staff and families for their continued support and commitment. The Junior Concert Band then set the tone for the celebration with a rousing performance of Pirates of the Caribbean. 

Mrs Tulloch, joined by Mrs Johnson and Mrs MacLeod, marked an outstanding year by showcasing how our school values, represented by super sized objects and a humorous but heartfelt script have deepened, strengthened and grown throughout the year. 

Mrs Tulloch, Head of Junior School, shared: “This is such an important celebration of all that we have achieved through the session. The children have nurtured and strengthened their school values creating the most reliable moral compass to guide and support them towards being the best they can be. We are so proud of them all, my heart was absolutely bursting when the P7’s sang their final medley in the Junior School”.

The focus then turned to each year group, with Nursery to Primary 7 taking to the stage for year group performances and sharing highlights from the school year, reflecting on the memorable experiences, exciting opportunities, and achievements that had made the year so special. Primary 4 to 7 prizes were also announced by Mrs MacLeod and awarded in recognition of achievements throughout the academic year by Mrs Johnson, Mr Macpherson, and Mrs Tulloch.

The celebration concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks from this year's Primary 7 Dux, Ishaan before Kate (also P7) expertly piped out the platform party marking the end to the annual event.
