Myles Edwards inspires Junior pupils to follow their dreams

Primary 7 pupils were delighted to welcome 1500m Scottish Championship track runner and co-founder of Gathimba Edwards Foundation, Myles Edwards to the College.

After visiting a Kenyan Children’s Home and seeing the conditions first hand, Myles created the Gathimba Edwards Foundation alongside his friend Gideon to raise money to help build houses and provide education for the people of Kenya.

Mrs Crichton, Teacher of Junior School, shared: “The P7 year group learned valuable life lessons about working in challenging conditions, following their dreams and the work of the charity.

“We thank Myles very much for his visit, and we are very much looking forward to our P7 Bring and Buy Sale in the MacRobert Hall on Monday 18th December where the proceeds will be split between The Gathimba Edwards Foundation and Abernecessities.”
