Nat 5 Environmental Science visit Don Hydro

The National 5 Environmental Science class visited the Aberdeen Community Energy (ACE) hydro-screw on the River Don this week.

Mr Paul said: "The Donside Hydro is an interesting place to visit and learn about how the project aligns with local and national government policy on energy, climate change and sustainable communities. In addition to this the visit supports the Energy Unit of the National 5 Environmental Science Course."

The multi-award winning Community Benefit Society was set up in 2015 by Donside Community Association (DCA) to build, own and operate the Donside Hydro Scheme on behalf of the community and inline with the Donside Village founder's ethos of creating a sustainable community.
