Children create artwork for NHS comfort boxes

Children around the North-east have used their creative skills to send colourful artworks to NHS teams across Grampian as part of a project launched by NHS Grampian Endowment Fund.

Talking about her artwork, Renee (P3) said: "Thank you to all the NHS staff for working tirelessly to keep us safe. I have used water colours and pen to create this picture, I have made it very colourful and hope that it will make you feel better.”

Miss Holdsworth, Teacher of Art highlighted: "I shared the project with my Nursery - Primary 3 pupils who had a fun and creative time producing their artworks. We sent on some beautiful pictures and uplifting messages to the Grampian Hospitals Arts Trust. The pupils loved doing the task as they know how important the NHS are and have been learning more about this over the last few months. I am sure anyone who receives these will be over the moon."

The Grampian Hospitals Art Trust encouraged children to get involved to create pieces that could be turned into postcards and included in the comfort boxes.
