This week in Nursery, we have been busy learning lots of different Nursery rhymes, and the children have had great fun learning to recite them. We’ve been so impressed by how quickly the children have learned a wide variety of really quite tricky rhymes, and how much they enjoyed opportunities to act them out using props they had helped to make. Reading books with rhyming words continues to be a great hit, especially when we read books by wonderful authors such as Julia Donaldson and Nick Sharrat, who both use rhyme to great effect. ‘Shark in the Park’ is a firm favourite and is often requested at story time in Nursery.
