Superheroes sing their hearts out at Schoolhill

Aberdeen City Council and Robert Gordon's College joined together last week to enjoy a celebration of song.

Primary 4 children from five schools across Aberdeen enjoyed learning new songs and meeting each other. Vocal animator Miss Anna Hamilton joined Mrs Sarah Constable, Music teacher at Robert Gordon's College, in leading the fun morning session.

The children sang 'Power in Me', 'Happy Song' and lastly 'Count on Me' where the children also learned some Makaton with Junior School Teacher, Miss Menzies.

Head of Junior School, Mrs Webb shared: "It has been fantastic to welcome schools from across the city to join us in the Craig Performing Arts Theatre to discover the joy of singing. At break, the children enjoyed playing together and making some new friends and we look forward to hearing the final performance at a later date. We hope this will be the start of a larger project with all primary children across the city collaborating in a positive health and wellbeing initiative through song."
