RGC Pipe Band scale new heights at the North of Scotland Championships

Last weekend, our Competition Pipe Band kicked off the Banchory Highland Games. The pupils have been perfecting their skills on the lead up to the competition. Their hard work paid off achieving joint 3rd place on points, however they edged out on ensemble preference.

Mr Sumner, Piping Instructor said: "Being the first pipe band on at 11.00am, we were the first to strike up on a contest field for almost three years. The band was by far the youngest and biggest Pipe Band at Banchory. It was an amazing performance and a joy to see our whole pipe band community back together after so long."

We cannot wait to see what the RGC Pipe Band achieves at their next competition in the Aberdeen Highland Games on 18 June at Hazlehead Park.
