We are pleased to announce the new Co-Chairs of the Robert Gordon's College Parents' Association (RGCPA) are Elisabeth Easton and Anne-Sophie Cyteval who will serve for the 2023-2024 session and provide leadership within our parent community to collaborate with the College towards a common goal of enhancing the pupil experience at Robert Gordon’s.
Our co-chairs are supported by a committee of parent representatives from across the Gordon’s community who work together to provide opportunities for parents to meet socially, raise funds for the school through social events and fundraising activities, and generously give their time to organise the lost property service, second hand uniform sale and facilitate the second hand book sale.
Elisabeth shares: "As the Co-Chairs of the Parents’ Association I hope we can assist the school to make the educational journey for parents and pupils that little bit easier and more enjoyable. I am passionate about education and believe it is one of the biggest gifts parents can give a child. The Parents’ Association aims to create opportunities for families to get together socially as well as fundraise to enhance the pupil experience. I work full-time, so I fully appreciate the benefits of the community working together to support one another in between childcare, family, household and the world of work. My little girl has started Primary 1 after a fabulous pre-school year at RGC Nursery and as a family we very much feel part of the Gordon’s community."
Anne-Sophie adds: "I am honoured to take up the role of Co-Chair and delighted to team up with Elisabeth. I have two children at Robert Gordon’s in Primary 7 and S2. We have an exciting calendar of events scheduled for this coming school year and I would like to encourage all parents to engage with us as we are delighted to welcome new volunteers and fresh ideas. Joining the Parents’ Association is a good way to be proactive with your children’s experience at Robert Gordon’s and also meet motivated and energetic groups of parents. Most of the Committee members are working parents, so don’t let that deter you from getting involved."
The first event in the RGCPA calendar takes place on Thursday 31 August in the Craig Centre for Performing Arts for the RGCPA new parent welcome event. Learn more about the RGCPA here.
