Robert Gordon’s College hosts school ski race championships

Over 75 skiers from across Scotland gathered for the Robert Gordon’s College School Ski Race Championships, an event proudly supported by UNIQ Snowsports.

Held at Aberdeen Snowsports Centre and hosted by Mrs MacLeod and Mrs Melville, competitors raced individually in a slalom event as well as a team dual slalom mixing the pupils from different schools. The atmosphere throughout the day was one of friendly competition, teamwork, and sporting spirit, with pupils cheering each other on as they tackled the slopes.

Mrs MacLeod, Deputy Head of Junior School shared: “ What a brilliant afternoon we had with ski racers from all around Scotland coming to Aberdeen.  The dual slalom event really brought the ski community together.  With team members from Under 8’s  to Under 18’s everyone worked together, supported each other and made new friends. The atmosphere was buzzing with  families and friends cheering on all the children.  A special thank you to UNIQ Snowsports and to the parent volunteers for making the event so successful.”
