Senior pupils top leader board and NSSA Indoor Open

Congratulations to eight RGC Ski Racing Club Senior School pupils who achieved great successes at the National Schools Snowsports Association (NSSA) Indoor Open yesterday.

Grant M (S5), Finlay C (S5), Autumn T (S3), Daisy C (S3), Michael M (S3), Bailey B (S2), Blair M (S2), Louisa M (S1) and along with Mrs Melville and Mrs MacLeod, travelled down to Chill Factore in Manchester to take part in the National Schools Indoor Open - North race.

All pupils gave a stellar performance throughout the event  topping the results table with the RGC Blue Team awarded first place and the RGC Yellow Team awarded second place out of the 7 Senior School teams. In addition to the team races, pupils took to the podium after strong performance in the individual races.

This was the first team to make an overnight trip for competitive sports since the start of the pandemic, making it even more of a special trip for the pupils.

Mrs MacLeod, Deputy Head P4-P7 shared: “Mrs Melville and I are so proud of all the children who raced incredibly well. We are often successful at the Scottish Schools Snowsports Association (SSSA) races but as this was a National event this was a huge achievement for the children and Robert Gordon's College.  Our school Ski Race Club takes place on a Friday evening and the results highlight the success of the pupils' dedication and training.”
