Senior pupils visit Sky Studios to experience media roles in the creative industry

A group of S4-S6 pupils travelled to the Sky Up Academy Studios in Livingston to participate in an immersive learning experience.

The pupils had the opportunity to create a news report on the topic of social media whilst taking on different media roles such as researcher, presenter and director.

Mrs Gray, Assistant Head of English shared: "The studio is a fantastic facility and this was an excellent opportunity for anyone considering a career in media to gain insight into the creation of media, the different roles available and the skills required."

Meeting with Sky Academy staff, visiting and using the studios was an invaluable experience for our pupils, encouraging them to explore their creative side, use their imagination and celebrate what they are passionate about.  It is fantastic to see them continue to be inspired to consider creative careers following the success of our Creative Minds Festival in November.
