At the College, Sports Day is a much anticipated event for pupils across Junior and Senior school. Despite not taking its usual form this year, year groups participated in various sporting events across a number of days to allow all pupils to take part in Sports Day within the restrictions.
Miss Stephen, Teacher of PE said: “The PE department made the decision to run Sports Day differently this year where instead of pupils entering heats to compete in events, every pupil participated and represented their form class.
“The theme was teamwork which involved everyone competing in two different events including a relay race and earning house points. Events ranged from traditional athletics events such as the 100 metre sprint to a Sports Day classic, the sack race. It was fantastic to see pupils cheering on their peers and getting behind their house!
Mr Walker, Teacher of PE added: “It was great to see every pupil in Junior School giving their all and competing for their houses. There was a lot of fantastic talent on show and all the pupils should be proud of their effort.”
