STEM in the Pipeline competition

For the fifth year running a team of S6 students (Euan, Megan, Rhia, Theo, Philip  and Robbie) took part in the STEM in the Pipeline competition, run by TechFest. The team learnt about geology, geophysics, engineering and finance at an introduction day at Aberdeen University and then over the course of three months set about creating a field development plan. With the help from mentors from ConocoPhillips (Jonathan Murray (former pupil) and Lynne Warren) the team produced a professional report and presented their findings to industry experts at a presentation day at BP Headquarters. The competition was tough, but the team impressed the judges and won both the Project Management prize and came 2nd Place.
