Our panel discuss "Wellbeing in Difficult Times"

An audience of over 270 people joined the second webinar in the “Wellbeing in Difficult Times” series last night.

Panelists Jane Lunnon, Lena Carter and Graham Goulden joined Robin Macpherson (Head of College) in a Q&A discussion focusing on the impacts of the pandemic on young people and the opportunities educators and parents can create for them in a post-COVID world.

Discussion covered the positives to be taken from the pandemic for young people, the focus for educators in a post pandemic world and predictions of exciting opportunities that may emerge. With lots of thought-provoking insight provided by the panel, the questions flooded in from the audience of parents and teaching colleagues following the discussion.

Robin Macpherson said: “There was a vibrant level of debate and a lot of fresh thinking about the future. Jane, Lena and Graham are true thought leaders in education and they pulled no punches in setting out the impact that pandemic has had on young people. However, their optimism for the future and the innovative thinking that they shared was genuinely inspiring. From the superpowers of Generation Z to the idea of a mental health vaccine, we covered a huge range of big ideas. The challenge now is to take those ideas forward with courage.”
