Teachers support Computing Science advanced across Scotland #UpskillWithSTACS

Mark Hay, Head of Computing Science and Gordon Rae, Teacher of Computing Science are working with Scottish Teachers Advancing Computing Science (STACS) to help upskill over 60 Computing Science colleagues across Scotland.

#UpskillWithSTACS is a pilot programme developing understanding of Object Oriented Programming, a key feature of the Advanced Higher Computing Science curriculum. From February through to the end of March, Mr Hay and Mr Rae are hosting online fortnightly sessions.

Mr Hay, Head of Computing Science, Robert Gordon’s College, shared: “It is always a privilege to be able to share our experience in delivering Advanced Higher Computing Science to help support the continuous professional development of teachers across Scotland.”

Mr Rae, Teacher of Mathematics and Digital Education added: “I am looking forward to seeing the collaborative product from this pilot with all the involved teachers working together to enhance current resources, knowledge and skills.”
