Virtual Ceilidh celebrates St Andrew's Day

Traditionally at this time of year RGC Pipe Band would be busy preparing for the Annual St Andrew's Day Concert but due to Covid restrictions we were delighted to introduce our first ever St Andrew's Day Online Ceilidh.

Mr Sumner, Piping Instructor shares: "The St Andrew's Day Online Ceilidh was an informal evening of enjoyable music and chat - live entertainment was provided by the Pipe Band tuition team, pupils (Leo and Alfie M & Rory M) and guest musicians including Pipe Major Ben Duncan, Royal Scots Dragoon Guards. Pipe Band parents, friends and families were all in attendance as spectators. It was great to see our PipeBand community come together again via Google Meet.

"We sincerely hope that next year we will be able to present our traditional live concert from the MacRobert Hall but in its absence this year the St Andrew's Online Ceilidh provided lively entertainment and comfort in traditional and contemporary Scottish music."
