Sporting success stories were celebrated at Aberdeen’s Sports Awards 2023 on 23 March when Richard Freeland, Class of ‘88 was awarded the Community/Participation Coach of the Year for dedicating hundreds of hours each year to coach hockey with Gordonians, as well as north district girls’ squads.

Further success came in the evening for Kevin Reynard, Class of ‘83, and the team at Aberdeen Dolphin Swimming Club who won Club of the Year recognising that over the last year the club have been committed to further growth and inclusivity, delivering 1,500 sessions, as well as helping their athletes achieve pool success.
