Robert Gordon’s College recently welcomed over 40 teachers from across Scotland to take part in Experience AI, a national programme developed by Google DeepMind and the Raspberry Pi Foundation. Designed to introduce teachers and pupils to the fundamentals of artificial intelligence, Experience AI provides free classroom resources and teacher training to build confidence in this fast-moving field.

Organised by Jess Power, Director of Digital Education, the event was delivered by expert trainers from ParentZone. Participants engaged in a variety of hands-on activities, including building simple machine learning models and exploring the key differences between traditional programming and AI systems.

Hosting this event reflects the College’s active role in shaping how AI is understood and used in education, supported by the ongoing contributions of Robin Macpherson and Jess Power as panellists on the national AI in Education initiative.

As AI continues to shape the future of work and learning, Robert Gordon’s College remains dedicated to preparing pupils and staff to engage thoughtfully and responsibly with emerging technologies.
