Anaïs is celebrating an outstanding set of S5 results, achieving six Higher qualifications at Grade A in Mathematics, English, Chemistry, French, Human Biology and Business Management. This impressive achievement has provided a strong foundation for the next stage of her education and opened up a wide range of university options.

With an interest in studying Business at university, Anaïs’s results have given her the flexibility to explore different institutions and courses while keeping a range of future pathways open.

Achieving six As required significant commitment, particularly while balancing a demanding programme of competitive hockey. Alongside her studies, Anaïs represented Scotland at U17 level, captained the school 1st XI, and played for two other teams.

Managing academic commitments alongside training and matches required careful organisation and considerable effort throughout the year. The experience has helped Anaïs develop the discipline and time-management skills needed to perform at a high level both in the classroom and on the pitch.

Anaïs also credits the support of RGC with helping her manage these commitments. Teachers provided additional support and time to catch up when required, while the school’s hockey coaches helped Anaïs develop her skills and manage the demands of playing for multiple teams.

Her Guidance teacher, Mr Duncan, has also played an important role in encouraging Anaïs to recognise her potential, strive for her best and put herself forward for leadership opportunities.

For Anaïs, hockey has been one of the highlights of the school year. Playing alongside friends and being part of the team has been particularly rewarding, and she is already looking forward to the next season.

Anaïs has also gained valuable insight into the world of work through a work experience placement at IMRANDD. The experience provided an opportunity to learn more about professional working environments, work ethic, business management and marketing, while helping to strengthen her interest in studying Business at university.

With six Higher As, experience of competing at national level in hockey, leadership experience as a school sports captain, and valuable insight into the world of business, Anaïs has developed a strong foundation for the future.

Her results have opened the door to a wide range of opportunities, and she can now look ahead to researching university and course options that best reflect her ambitions.
