Aston (S3) has been making waves both on the racetrack and in the classroom. A rising talent, he was recently one of just six participants in the Richard Mille Young Driver Academy 2025, combining elite training, media development, and on-track testing in Formula 4 cars at Jerez Circuit, Spain.
He has already achieved impressive results in competitive motorsport while keeping up with schoolwork. From lightning-fast laps to juggling homework and eight National 5s, Aston proves that focus, determination, and a little bit of speed go a long way. In this “5 Minutes With,” we dive into the life of a young racer who is mastering the art of balancing school and the track.
If school was a racetrack, which subject would be your fastest lap?
Physics.
What did you find most difficult while juggling school and racing?
Being away from my friends and keeping my focus on school work whilst managing a long day at the track.
Do you have a lucky charm, snack, or pre-race ritual that helps you focus?
I like to juggle before races as I feel this helps me focus.
Who would be in your dream “pit crew”?
Driver coach: Max Verstappen
Engineer: Adrian Newey
Mechanics: McLaren mechanics
What’s the biggest lesson racing has taught you that helps you in school?
Never give up. Always be willing to learn and work hard.
Outside the fast lane, Aston enjoys golf, football, and running. He is also learning Italian, as many of the people he meets through racing speak it as their first language. Most weekends, you will find him competing or testing at a kart track. In the coming months, Aston will race in the WSK Winter Series as part of his preparation for the OK European Championship in 2026. The FIA OK Championship represents the highest level of karting in the world, where every driver aims to establish themselves among the top talents on the global stage.
