Earlier in this academic year, some of our talented S2-S6 hockey players were nominated to trial for Brave, the Scottish National Pathway programme designed to support the development of young hockey players.

We are thrilled to announce that 14 Robert Gordon’s College players were successful in securing places within the Brave programme, joining either Aspiring or Emerging teams. The Emerging team is made up of younger players and provides an opportunity to hone their skills and progress through the ranks. As these pupils grow and develop as players, they have the chance to advance to the Aspiring team, which focuses on preparing them for higher levels of competition.

Mr McLeod, Director of Sport, shared: “We are delighted to see so many of our pupils take part in Scottish Hockey’s Brave Pathway. This is a fantastic opportunity for our pupils to showcase their skill set and take their performance to the next level. We are looking forward to seeing them progress and hopefully represent Scotland.

“It is brilliant to see so many keen and successful hockey players in the school and we look forward to hearing more about their Brave journey. Congratulations to all players involved!”

The Brave programme operates across three key locations in Scotland: Dundee, Edinburgh and Glasgow, where players engage in regular training matches against participants from other centres.
