Congratulations to Emma Love, Class of ‘17, who has been selected by Scottish Thistles Head Coach, Tamsin Greenway, to be part of the squad that will be flying out to compete in the Vitality Netball World Cup in Cape Town, South Africa.

Emma is currently representing the Scottish Thistles (Netball Scotland's Senior National Squad), she was part of the recent Triangular Series in South Africa and was part of Team Scotland at the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham. Emma is also a training partner who is supporting the Strathclyde Sirens, Scotland's only professional netball team.

Mrs Hardie, Head of PE comments: “This is such a special moment for Emma. She has worked extremely hard to make this squad and continues to show great commitment to improve. The next six weeks will be exciting and exhausting in equal measures, I would imagine, as Emma and the squad prepare for the championships. We are so proud of Emma and she continues to inspire all of our players as they come through the same pathway she did.”

Taking place from 28 July to 6 August, the 16th edition of the World Cup will take place in South Africa for the first time. Along with six other players, this will be her first World Cup, and we wish her the very best of luck.
