As part of our celebrations for the European Day of Languages, the Senior School community held a bake sale in the Quad, and what a fantastic success it was!

We were blown away by the creativity and baking skills of both staff and pupils, who brought along an incredible spread of country-themed treats and recipes inspired by cultures from across Europe and beyond. The effort and imagination that went into each contribution made the event a real treat for everyone involved, and it was a wonderful way to celebrate the richness of languages and traditions through food.

Our Senior School Charity Committee representatives helped with serving and selling the cakes and were truly impressed by the ingenuity shown.

Louisa C said: “For our first charity event this year, everyone rose to the occasion, and a great time was had by all.”

Ellie B added: “There were so many tasty treats from all over the world.”

Katrina P commented: “It was a delicious way to celebrate our multicultural community whilst also raising money for charity.”

Summarising the event, Mrs Adam, Teacher of Mandarin, shared:  “The bake sale, like the moon cakes, was out of this world!”
