During a recent family holiday, Mr and Mrs Duncan, both Teachers of Languages, visited the war grave of Gordonian Captain Alan Brockie.

Captain Brockie, who attended RGC from 1923 to 1928, served with distinction in the Royal Artillery during WWII. He fought in France, Tunisia, and Sicily, and landed in Normandy in 1944. Sadly, he was killed near Caen on 16 August 1944, one of seven Gordonians who lost their lives in the Battle of Normandy.
