Speaking about balancing academic commitments with intensive training, Abigail shared: “After a very busy year of balancing my school work with dressage, I was delighted when I received my National 5 exam results. To have found out on the same day that my pony George and I were now ranked Number 1 in the world for our age group in the FEI Dressage World Pony Rankings was absolutely phenomenal. It felt like a double victory.

“I had to be really prepared and organised with my studying and I had to make sure I was up-to-date with notes. I utilised my time whilst I was away by catching up with work when travelling to competitions. I also had great teachers who helped me throughout the National 5 year and I'm very grateful for their support.”
