In February, Anne Richter, a German Science and Ethics teacher, was funded by Erasmus to observe a week of lessons at Robert Gordon's College with the aim of comparing the Scottish and German educational systems.

Anne was impressed by the warm welcome she received from all colleagues and pupils, and admired the technical facilities in Science and Technology. At the end of the week, Anne expressed her respect for the high teaching load of her Scottish colleagues and their involvement in break and lunchtime activities – quite different from her experience in Germany.

Anne was accompanied by her daughter Ellie, who shadowed one of our Advanced Higher German pupils, Gajhana. She too enjoyed her stay greatly.
