Kayak Club paddled the Dee from Potarch to Banchory on Saturday 28th September.

Mrs Chalmers said: "The recent rain made the rapids even more exciting, and gave plenty of opportunity to practise white water skills. Everyone had a great day and made good progress towards achieving a British Canoeing Award."

Matthew (S2) shared: "This was my first time on a rapid. Before we went down, we had a few paddles upstream to warm up. I saw waves double the size of me, breaking in front of my eyes. Hitting the big waves almost made me capsize but I didn’t let that happen."
